Refund Policy & Delivery

What you're buying, when you get it, and how money comes back when something goes wrong. Last updated 12 August 2026.

Delivery — instant, digital

Everything Spoor sells is a digital service: subscriptions, and entries to real-world events run on the platform. There is no physical shipping. Access is provisioned to your Spoor account immediately on payment confirmation — a subscription activates at once, and an event entry appears in your account (and on the organiser's start list) within minutes of payment. If something you've paid for hasn't appeared within an hour, contact us and we'll fix it.

Subscriptions (Runner and Creator)

  • Your first month is free. A new Runner account gets a full month at no charge and nothing is taken from you during it. We tell you before the first payment is due, and if you cancel at any point in that month you are never charged at all.
  • Cancel anytime. Cancelling stops future billing; you keep access until the end of the period you've already paid for. We don't charge again after you cancel.
  • Partial months aren't refunded, except where a charge was made in error.
  • Billing errors and duplicate charges are refunded in full. Tell us within 30 days of the charge and we'll put it right.

Event entries

  • Each event states its own refund terms, set by the event organiser and shown on the event page before you pay. Read them — events differ.
  • Cancellations, postponements, transfers and withdrawals (the event doesn't go ahead, you can't make race day, injury, and similar) all follow the event's stated terms — the organiser owns those calls, and we hold them to what they published at the time you entered.
  • Duplicate or erroneous charges are refunded in full, always.

Payment plans (4 or 6 monthly payments)

  • Your entry is confirmed at the first payment; the remaining equal payments collect monthly and always finish before the event starts.
  • If a payment fails, we retry, then your entry is suspended — not lost. Settle the outstanding amount and your entry is restored. What a suspension means beyond that (deadlines, reinstatement) follows the event's stated terms.
  • Cancelling a payment plan follows the same refund terms as the event entry it belongs to.

How refunds are paid

Refunds go back to the original payment method via our payment processor, Paystack. Once approved, allow 5–10 business days for the money to reflect, depending on your bank. To request a refund, email [email protected] with the email address on your Spoor account and your order reference (it starts with SPR-).
